Gicipi started as the original brand of Maglificio Gicipi, founded in 1948.
They have their own factory in the town of Padua in northern Italy, where vintage machines have been operating for nearly 70 years.
Since its founding, Gicipi has been committed to manufacturing with a focus on "natural fibers" for a pleasant feel and "quality-first" principles for careful and reliable craftsmanship.
Padua has long flourished as a production base for apparel products, with many factories producing suits, outerwear, knitwear, innerwear, pants, jeans, shoes, glasses, and more, all boasting world-class quality.
Gicipi is a fully integrated factory, a rarity today, that handles everything from fabric knitting to pattern making, cutting, sewing, dyeing, and finishing in-house.
By maintaining this integrated process, they can closely manage quality and delivery times, allowing them to continue offering high-quality products at affordable prices, just as they did at their founding.
Currently, they have expanded the types of yarns they handle, manufacturing products from cotton to all types of wool, silk, and linen.
They no longer subcontract for external brands, instead selling their own brand products to department stores and lingerie shops within Italy.
