BLESS

BLESS is a design team founded by Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag. They started their activities in Berlin, Germany, and are now based in Berlin and Paris. Desiree Heiss was born in 1971. Ines Kaag was born in 1970. Both studied fashion at university. They met in 1993 while still students and hit it off. They began collaborating on design activities in 1995. Their first design was a poster created in 1995, followed by an advertisement for i-D magazine in 1996. This was designated "N°00" and became BLESS's first creation. In 1997, BLESS was established as a company. With a strong conceptual element, they spend a lot of time brainstorming ideas. Rather than creating the newest things, they meticulously research and use past materials to generate value. Their products are numbered, such as "N°00" and "N°05." In addition to creating original collections of clothing and accessories, they actively pursue project-based work.
