BLESS

Bless is a design team founded by Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag. They started their activities in Berlin, Germany, and are now based in Berlin and Paris. Desiree Heiss was born in 1971. Ines Kaag was born in 1970. Both studied fashion at university. They met in 1993 while still in school and immediately hit it off. They began their design work together in 1995. Their first design was a poster created in 1995, followed by an advertisement for i-D magazine in 1996. This was designated "N°00" and became Bless's first creation. In 1997, they established Bless as a company. With a strong conceptual element, they spend a lot of time brainstorming ideas. Rather than creating the very latest things, they conduct thorough research and use past materials to create value. Their products are given numbers such as "N°00" and "N°05". While creating original collections, and presenting clothing and accessory collections, they also actively engage in project activities.
