COTTON PAN Rooster l/s Rayon Shirt Shawn "CREAM"
The theme for the 2026SS Collection is "Just Do What You Want."
It is quoted from THE ROOSTERS' classic song "Koi wo Shiyou yo" (Let's Fall in Love).
The rooster used in the pattern has been cherished since ancient times as a very auspicious symbol, representing "heroism," "justice," and "awakening," due to its brave appearance of cutting through darkness and heralding dawn.
Deep respect is paid to the Japanese traditional meanings of "heroic fighting spirit" and warding off evil.
For the material, we adopted rayon fabric using the technique of "Chirimen (crepe weave)," a traditional Japanese weaving structure.
The unique shibo (crepe) texture, also used in kimonos and yukatas, combined with rayon's characteristic beautiful drape, creates a vintage-like allure and an exquisite feel on the skin.
In the printing process, "tenassen" (hand-dyeing) by skilled Kyoto craftsmen is applied, using the "bassen" (discharge printing) technique to remove the fabric's color and reveal the pattern. This achieves vivid and deep, splendid coloration without compromising the original soft texture of the material.
This is a piece where traditional Japanese beauty and music culture intersect.
