NOCHINO OPTICAL "Tsukiyomi" "#5 CITRON & AMBER × LSMOKE GREEN"

Sale price¥39,600

Boston-style glasses with a soft, understated impression.
The small frame is a multi-use silhouette suitable for all races and genders.
It features photochromic lenses that change color under UV light, one of the brand's iconic features.
Despite its slender plastic frame, it uses cringespads (adjustable metal nose pads) that greatly affect comfort.
Crafted with the skills of experienced artisans.
The nose pads, which are in close contact with the skin for almost an entire day's activity, are made of luxurious, allergy-free titanium.
Furthermore, by embedding high-temperature metal parts into the plastic frame, excessive metal parts are eliminated, and only carefully selected, semi-permanently repairable parts are used.
The rivets that connect the hinges are polished one by one by skilled artisans using a "togidashi" (polished out) finishing method, where they are polished after being inserted into the plastic.
NOCHINO OPTICAL's signature 2-curve lenses have a beautiful curved surface that is neither flat nor a typical curve type, reminiscent of old hand-cut glass lenses, and exude a luxurious feel with their sparkling surface.

NOCHINO OPTICAL

Not a full moon, but the phase just before it.
The Japanese aesthetic that finds beauty in the moon just before it is full.
The beauty of incompleteness, the beauty of the unfinished, the beauty of empty space.
The 13th moon, the "nochi no tsuki" (later moon).
It is believed that only through incompleteness can things appear that cannot be expressed by completeness or satisfaction.
By beautifully embracing incompleteness, a sense of satisfying beauty is evoked in people.
Eyeglasses, like the 13th moon or "nochi no tsuki," are incomplete the moment they leave the craftsman's hands.
We offer our products as the 13th moon.
During the Heian period, when The Tale of Genji was written, it was a noble pursuit to keenly sense the seasons and wear colors "appropriate for the season," incorporating them into daily life.
Today, we enjoy the pursuit of wearing colors appropriate for the season, and our products are only complete when they harmonize with their individual owner.
