NOCHINO OPTICAL "Tsukiyomi" "#8 SAFETY GREY x GREY GREEN to D.GREY"

Sale price¥39,600

A soft and understated Boston-type frame. The small frame is a multi-use silhouette that suits all races and genders. It features photochromic lenses that change color under UV light, which is one of the brand's iconic points. Despite its thin plastic frame, it uses adjustable nose pads (metal parts that allow for nose adjustment) which greatly affect comfort. Specifications incorporating the skills of master craftsmen. The nose pads, which are in close contact with the skin for almost the entire day, are made of luxurious, allergy-free titanium. Furthermore, by embedding high-temperature metal parts into the plastic frame, excessive metal parts are eliminated, and repairable parts are carefully selected to last semi-permanently. The rivet parts that connect the hinges are polished one by one by skilled craftsmen using a "togidashi" (polished finish) method after being set in plastic, ensuring a meticulous finish down to the very end. NOCHINO OPTICAL's signature 2-curve lenses feature a beautiful curved surface that is neither flat nor a typical curved type, reminiscent of old hand-cut glass lenses, and exude a sense of luxury with their brilliant surface.

NOCHINO OPTICAL

The moon, not yet full, but one step before.
The Japanese heart finds beauty in the moon just before it is full.
The beauty of insufficiency, the beauty of incompleteness, the beauty of blank spaces.
The thirteenth moon, the later moon.
It is believed that only through insufficiency can things appear that cannot be expressed through completeness or satisfaction.
By beautifully presenting what is insufficient, people are made to feel the beauty of satisfaction.
Eyeglasses, like the thirteenth moon, or the later moon, are incomplete when they leave the craftsman's hands.
Our products are the thirteenth moon.
In the Heian period, when The Tale of Genji was written, it was a noble custom to keenly feel the seasons and wear colors that "matched the season," incorporating them into daily life.
Today, we enjoy the custom of wearing colors that match the season, and our products are only completed when they perfectly match their unique owner.
