To maximize the water repellency of this material while keeping it lightweight, the two designers iterated through trial and error to arrive at O - 's unique design, which allows the garment's body to be formed from "a single pattern piece."
Seams have been simplified to the absolute minimum, and fabric is sewn together as much as possible in areas less exposed to wind and rain, such as the inner sleeves and armpits.
This eliminates the need for waterproof specifications like seam tape found in conventional shell garments, and resolves concerns about the deterioration of shell garment functionality due to the aging of seam tape.
The detachable hood, which can be easily removed with snap buttons, transforms into a face guard that performs in bad weather, protecting from wind and rain while maintaining visibility.
From the original materials and patterns uniquely developed by O - for this garment, to the sewing methods, and even each individual component, everything has been carefully and meticulously selected for optimal performance.
