gicipi started as the original brand of Maglificio Gicipi, a company founded in 1948.The company has its own factory in the city of Padua in northern Italy, where vintage machines have been in active operation for nearly 70 years.
Since its establishment, gicipi has been committed to making products with a focus on "natural fibers" that prioritize comfort and "quality-first" craftsmanship that is meticulous and reliable.
Padua has long flourished as a production base for apparel products, with many factories producing suits, outerwear, knitwear, innerwear, pants, jeans, shoes, glasses, and more, all boasting world-class quality.
gicipi is a vertically integrated factory, a rarity today, that handles everything from fabric knitting to pattern making, cutting, sewing, dyeing, and finishing all in-house.
This integrated approach allows for close control over quality and delivery times, enabling them to continue providing high-quality products at affordable prices, just as they did when they were founded.
Currently, the range of yarns handled has expanded, and they produce items from cotton to all types of wool, silk, linen, and other fibers.
They no longer undertake subcontracting work for external brands, and now sell their own brand products to department stores and specialty lingerie stores throughout Italy.
