The surface fuzz is removed beforehand, resulting in a smooth feel, increased strength compared to single-ply yarn, and resistance to losing its shape.

gicipi started as the original brand of Maglificio Gicipi, founded in 1948.
The company operates its own factory in PADOVA, a town in northern Italy, where vintage machines have been actively working for nearly 70 years.
Since its establishment, gicipi has been committed to creating products with a focus on "natural fibers" that prioritize touch and "quality first" through meticulous and reliable craftsmanship.
PADOVA has long flourished as a production base for apparel products, boasting numerous factories producing suits, outerwear, knitwear, innerwear, pants, jeans, shoes, glasses, and more, with all items proudly claiming the world's highest quality.
gicipi is an integrated factory, a rarity today, that handles everything from fabric knitting and pattern making to cutting, sewing, dyeing, and finishing in-house.
This integrated process allows for close control over quality and delivery times, enabling them to continue offering high-quality products at affordable prices, just as they did when they were founded.
Currently, they have expanded the types of yarns they handle, now producing products from cotton to all kinds of wool, silk, and linen.
They no longer undertake subcontracting for external brands and sell their own brand products to department stores and specialty lingerie stores throughout Italy.
