It has an even greater luster than fabric that has been mercerized.
Since the surface fuzz is removed beforehand, it feels good against the skin, and it is stronger and less prone to losing its shape than single-ply yarn.

gicipi began as an original brand of Maglificio Gicipi, a company founded in 1948.The company has its own factory in the town of PADOVA in northern Italy, where vintage machines have been in active use for nearly 70 years.
Since its founding, the company has been committed to producing "natural fibers" that prioritize comfort and "quality-first" manufacturing through careful and precise craftsmanship.
PADOVA has long flourished as a production base for apparel products, with many factories producing items such as suits, outerwear, knitwear, innerwear, pants, jeans, shoes, and eyewear, all boasting the highest quality in the world.
gicipi is an integrated factory, a rare existence today, that handles everything from fabric knitting to pattern making, cutting, sewing, dyeing, and finishing in-house.
By doing everything in-house, they can closely manage quality and delivery times, allowing them to continue offering high-quality products at low prices, just as they did when they were founded.
Currently, the variety of yarns they handle has increased, and they now produce items from cotton to all types of wool, silk, and linen.
Currently, they do not subcontract for external brands and instead sell their own brand products to department stores and specialty lingerie stores in Italy.
